Privacy policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026 · FastFrame 1.0.0

Your edit stays on your device. FastFrame processes your media locally and does not upload your projects or recordings to us.

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how the Free and fast video editor - FastFrame Chrome extension handles information. FastFrame opens a video-editing workspace in a browser tab. It does not require an account.

For privacy questions, contact FastFrame at [email protected].

2. Information you choose to use

FastFrame processes the content you deliberately provide for editing:

This information is used to preview, edit, save and export your videos. FastFrame does not scan other files on your computer, read your browsing history or automatically inspect the pages you visit.

3. Recording and browser access

Screen recording starts only after you request it and choose a screen, window or tab in the browser’s sharing picker. Camera and microphone recording start only after a recording action and the required browser permission. These features are optional.

Recordings become local project media. FastFrame does not start recording automatically. You can stop a recording in the editor or through the browser’s capture controls, and manage camera and microphone permissions in your browser.

4. Local storage and retention

Projects and their imported or recorded media are saved in the extension’s local IndexedDB storage within your browser profile. Older local project data may be read from localStorage for migration. There is no FastFrame cloud account or automatic cloud backup.

Saved projects remain locally until the extension’s stored data is removed, the browser profile is removed, or the extension is uninstalled. Clearing ordinary browsing history is not a reliable way to erase extension project storage.

To remove all locally saved FastFrame projects, uninstall the extension from Chrome. This does not delete your original files or videos already exported to your computer; manage those files separately. Export anything you want to keep before removing the extension.

5. Transmission, sharing and analytics

FastFrame’s editing and rendering take place on your device. The extension does not transmit your media, project contents or recordings to the developer or to third-party rendering services. Exported files are downloaded locally; FastFrame does not publish them on your behalf.

The extension has no advertising, analytics trackers or telemetry in this version. We do not sell project data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility.

FastFrame’s use of information is limited to providing the video-editing features you choose, in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

6. Your device and choices

You choose which files to import, which recording features to enable and which videos to export. Local storage does not make data inaccessible to other people or software with access to your browser profile or device. Protect your device and keep separate copies of important work.

Because we do not receive your local projects, we cannot retrieve or erase those files remotely. You control them on your own device.

7. Support and this policy page

If you email [email protected], your email address and the information you send will be handled through the email service to respond to your request. Do not attach private project files unless you intend to share them for support.

This policy page does not contain a FastFrame contact form or analytics script. Loading the page involves ordinary network requests to its hosting provider, which may process technical connection information such as an IP address. This is separate from the extension’s local editing and does not upload your projects.

8. Changes to this policy

This page will be updated if FastFrame’s data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Any new access required for a feature will remain subject to the applicable browser permission and Chrome Web Store requirements.
